Intelligent Chassis for City Robot
A robot car capable of transporting people and goods fully autonomously, of emptying bins, mowing lawns and even sweeping the road - that is the EDAG CityBot. The concept includes a great many innovations – some of them in places that do not necessarily catch the eye. This applies in particular to the chassis with its electrified powertrain and individual wheel steering. These have been designed to provide excellent maneuverability and adaptability to a wide range of applications.
On the one hand, they should offer high maneuverability and perceptible driving comfort, while the other, low costs and efficient processes are called for in manufacturing and vehicle construction. In this vehicle, EDAG has combined innovative axle concepts that were developed in-house and mobility from the modular system in order to meet many and varied high requirements at one and the same time.
